Easy Crypto chooses Stripe as its payment processor

Today, leading cryptocurrency exchange Easy Crypto announced that it had chosen Stripe as the platform for its account holders' payments. Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses.

The New Zealand-based exchange was established in 2017 with the goal of ensuring that everyone has access to cryptocurrencies in an easy, secure, and fair manner. It combines an incredibly simple user interface with educational resources that enable new users to become familiar with the crypto economy and conduct transactions with confidence.

Easy Crypto chose Stripe to make the integration of payment capabilities simpler, accept more payment options and currencies, raise authorization rates, and reduce fraud.

Easy Crypto utilized Stripe's potent APIs to quickly deploy a full payments stack and start accepting credit and debit cards in response to customer demand for more convenient ways to add money to their accounts. More than 135 different currencies and numerous payment methods are accepted by Stripe.

"We had just one engineer working on the integration and another engineer implementing the UI/UX changes. With a focus on ease for our customers, it’s great to see how smooth the onboarding of Stripe has been. We were able to complete the Stripe integration in less than two weeks, delighting customers with the most requested feature on our platform: enabling safe and secure credit card transactions," according to Janine Grainger, CEO of Easy Crypto.

Additionally, Easy Crypto is utilizing Stripe Radar, which employs machine learning algorithms trained on data from millions of international businesses, to identify and prevent fraud. Radar's seamless integration with other Stripe products enables Easy Crypto to combat fraud with no additional programming required.

"We are excited to see what Stripe Radar can do for us as we set up our own custom rules to battle fraud and continually evolve our approaches to protect our customers," said Grainger.

Easy Crypto now uses Stripe to power payments, joining some of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world.

"Stripe is working with many of the most exciting projects in Web3 and supporting the world’s leading crypto brands. Easy Crypto is a great example and we look forward to more innovations that enable faster, cheaper, safer and more accessible payments," according to Cyril Mathew, lead for crypto partnerships at Stripe.
