CySEC Announces Licence Withdrawal and Liquidations for Three Regulated Entities

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has issued an official update involving three regulated entities, detailing the withdrawal of a Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) licence and the initiation of liquidation procedures for two separate investment fund compartments.

CySEC Announces Licence Withdrawal and Liquidations for Three Regulated Entities

In its announcement, CySEC confirmed that on October 13, 2025, it decided to withdraw the CIF authorisation of BrightPool Ltd, which held authorisation number 378/19. The decision followed the company’s explicit declaration to renounce its licence.

In a separate development, CySEC reported that it had been notified by the external manager GMM Global Money Managers AIFM Ltd regarding the initiation of the dissolution and liquidation process for the investment compartment SCITUS GLOBAL REAL ESTATE.

This compartment is part of SCITUS GLOBAL CAPITAL HOLDINGS RAIF V.C.I.C. LTD, which is duly registered as a Registered Alternative Investment Fund (RAIF).

The regulator explained that, in accordance with standard procedure, “until the completion of the compartment’s dissolution and liquidation, it shall remain registered in the RAIFs registry and appear on CySEC’s website with a notice stating ‘under liquidation’.”

CySEC added that, in line with the relevant legal framework, the investment compartment will be deleted from the RAIFs register once its dissolution and liquidation are fully completed and all required documentation has been submitted to the authority.

In a third announcement, CySEC stated that it had also received notification from the external manager AFICAP MANAGERS LTD concerning the commencement of the dissolution and liquidation procedure for the investment compartment GRAVITY FUND I. This fund belongs to GRAVITY FUND RAIF V.C.I.C. PLC, which, like the previous case, is registered as a RAIF.

CySEC clarified that “the GRAVITY FUND I compartment shall remain registered in the RAIFs registry and appear on CySEC’s website with a notice stating ‘under liquidation’ until the process is finished.” Once the procedure is completed and all necessary documents are provided, the regulator will remove the investment compartment from the RAIFs register.

Through these announcements, CySEC reaffirmed its ongoing oversight of Cyprus’s investment sector, ensuring transparency and compliance during licence withdrawals and fund liquidations.
