Cyprus consul talks with Bahraini ministers to strengthen cooperation in the energy and tourism

According to a Friday notice, Cyprus Consul Christos Poullaides met with Bahraini Ministers to discuss bilateral cooperation in the energy and tourist sectors.

The sessions centred on conversations between Poullaides and the ministers of electricity and energy, Yaser Bin Ebrahim Humaidan, Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, and Fatima Jaafar Al-Sairafi, respectively.


The ministers and Poullaides reviewed matters of mutual interest, relations between Cyprus and Bahrain, and collaboration in the energy, electrical, infrastructure, and tourism industries.


During his discussion with the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Poullaides was assured of Bahrain's desire to deepen its links with Cyprus in the electricity and water industries.


In addition, Poullaides lauded bilateral cooperation, while the Ministry of Works highlighted Cyprus' competence in infrastructure development and reconstruction. Both parties agreed to continue working together in this area.



During the meeting with the Minister of Tourism, cultural and tourist cooperation was the main topic of discussion. The Minister of Tourism vowed to develop projects aimed at strengthening the tourism industry, with an emphasis on the sharing of expertise.


In addition, Poullaides mentioned the achievements of the tourism sector in Cyprus, which is contributing an increasing amount to the country's GDP, and expressed a willingness to strengthen collaboration between the two nations in this sector.


The release concluded by stating that the discussions demonstrate the determination of both Cyprus and Bahrain to bolster bilateral cooperation in energy and tourist sectors.
