Madrid-based betting and gaming operator Codere Group has officially launched a new online gaming platform in Italy, marking a significant move to strengthen its foothold in the country’s digital gaming market.

The new initiative, under Codere Italy, aims to provide players with a seamless omni-channel experience by integrating the company’s established land-based operations with a robust online presence in compliance with the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM) regulations.
The new platform, available through Codere.it, gives users access to a wide range of online products, including sports betting, poker, virtual sports, and lottery games.
“With Codere.it we are taking a natural but strategic step: to also resolutely consolidate the online segment, keeping intact our identity as a committed, regulated operator close to the customer,” said Alejandro Pascual, regional manager at Codere Italia. “Our goal is to offer a consistent and quality omnichannel experience. Codere is strongly interested in developing collaborations with partners in the sector, particularly with those already operating in the national territory and wish to continue operating online with the support of a solid and trusted brand.”
Echoing this vision, Roberto Russo, director of online operations at Codere Italia, highlighted the company’s focus on technological excellence and long-term growth.
“Codere.it was created with the ambition of offering an online experience that meets the highest international standards, combining technology, usability, and premium content,” Russo said. “We have built a solid and scalable platform, ready to grow and adapt to the needs of our users and partners. Our approach is long-term, with the goal of creating a safe gaming ecosystem capable of consolidating itself as a benchmark in the Italian market.”
Codere Group’s expansion into the Italian digital landscape builds on its long-standing presence in the country’s land-based gaming sector, which began in 2001 with the opening of Sala Bingo Re in Rome. Today, the company operates nearly 7,000 slot machines and over 5,000 bingo seats across 10 venues nationwide.
Beyond Italy, Codere Group also owns Codere Online, which manages iGaming operations in Spain and across Latin America, reinforcing the group’s global expansion strategy.
Despite the promising launch, shares in Codere Online Luxembourg SA (NASDAQ: CDRO) closed 3.24 per cent lower at $6.86 per share in New York on Friday, reflecting broader market trends in the gaming and betting sector.
With this latest development, Codere positions itself to deliver a unified and technologically advanced gaming experience, aiming to set new benchmarks in Italy’s regulated iGaming market.
