The Anjouan iGaming regulator has issued further clarification on its newly introduced B2B License Recognition Certificate, expanding on the original announcement and offering key details to guide industry participants ahead of the impending compliance deadline of July 1st, 2025.

Now officially in effect, the Recognition Certificate serves as a streamlined regulatory tool allowing third-party B2B service providers to legally operate in partnership with Anjouan-licensed B2C operators. The initiative specifically targets providers that are already licensed in well-respected jurisdictions including Malta, the Isle of Man, Romania, Sweden, and other globally recognized markets.
Through this new framework, qualified B2B entities will be permitted to deliver a broad range of services—ranging from gaming platforms and software solutions to RNGs and game content—without the need to obtain a full Anjouan B2B license. The regulator emphasized that this measure is aimed at formalizing the role of trusted international providers while reducing unnecessary duplication of licensing obligations.
Crucially, the regulator confirmed that, “from July 1st, 2025, the Recognition Certificate or a full Anjouan B2B license will be a mandatory requirement for all B2B entities working with Anjouan-licensed operators.” This includes platform providers, software developers, and all third-party service suppliers across the gaming supply chain.
To facilitate a smooth transition to the new system, a 90-day grace period will be in effect following the enforcement deadline. During this window, existing providers will have the opportunity to regularize their compliance status with regulatory support provided throughout the process. The regulator is encouraging early applications to help avoid administrative bottlenecks and delays closer to the enforcement date.
Responding to industry feedback, Anjouan has also announced a reduction in the annual cost of the Recognition Certificate by EUR700 (approximately $800), a move designed to make the new framework more accessible and commercially viable for a wider range of service providers. This price adjustment aligns with the jurisdiction’s broader objectives to foster a “trusted, cooperative, and globally compatible licensing framework.”
“The initiative reflects Anjouan’s continued push to enhance integrity and accountability within its licensing ecosystem,” said the regulatory body, “while recognizing the role of credible, established B2B providers in maintaining a safe and transparent iGaming market.”
The launch of the Recognition Certificate is being hailed by some industry stakeholders as a pragmatic step that balances regulatory rigor with commercial flexibility, signaling Anjouan’s intention to remain aligned with international best practices while supporting innovation within the global iGaming supply chain.
