Alpha Bank Spends €14.87 Million on Latest Share Buyback
Alpha Bank has purchased 3,152,886 of its own shares for a total consideration of approximately €14.87 million as part of its ongoing share buyback programme.

The purchases were carried out on Euronext Athens between 7 and 9 September 2026, with the bank paying an average price of €4.7160 per share. The buyback programme was approved by Alpha Bank shareholders at the bank’s Annual General Meeting on 26 June 2026 and was subsequently put into effect on 31 July.
The largest individual purchase took place on 7 September, when Alpha Bank acquired 1,058,080 shares at an average price of €4.7320 per share. The transactions on that day had a total value of approximately €5.01 million.
On 8 September, the bank purchased a further 1,049,590 shares at an average price of €4.7281 per share, representing approximately €4.96 million. A further 1,045,216 shares were acquired on 9 September at an average price of €4.6878 per share, with the day's purchases valued at approximately €4.90 million.
Across the three trading days, the highest price paid by Alpha Bank was €4.7560 per share, while the lowest price was €4.6170. The average consideration across the entire batch of 3,152,886 shares was €4.7160 per share.
Following the latest purchases, Alpha Bank held 6,260,374 of its own shares. These treasury shares represented approximately 0.28% of the bank’s total share capital.
The latest transactions form part of the share buyback programme approved by shareholders in June. The programme permits Alpha Bank to acquire its own shares subject to the terms approved by shareholders and the applicable regulatory and market requirements.
The September purchases add to shares acquired by the bank earlier in the programme. The latest announcement therefore increases Alpha Bank’s holdings of treasury shares while the buyback programme remains active.
The transactions were executed through Euronext Athens and were reported by Alpha Bank in accordance with the applicable disclosure requirements for purchases of a company’s own shares.
The latest buyback does not represent an issue of new shares or a capital increase. Instead, it involves Alpha Bank purchasing shares already trading in the market and holding them as treasury shares. Following the transactions conducted between 7 and 9 September, the bank’s treasury-share holding stood at 6,260,374 shares, equivalent to 0.28% of its total shares.
The share purchases are separate from any subsequent decision that may be taken regarding the treatment or cancellation of treasury shares. The latest disclosure concerns the acquisition of the shares and the resulting treasury-share position.
Alpha Bank’s latest transactions consequently involved more than €14.8 million in market purchases over three trading days. The purchases increased the bank’s directly held treasury shares to more than 6.26 million, while the share buyback programme approved in June 2026 continues.
