Article 9 ESG fund manager performs better than all competitors

Based on Europe's strictest sustainable fund category, a portfolio manager at Triodos Energy Transition Europe Fund outperformed its Article 9 competition in the first seven months of 2022 by growing by 50%.

The $190 million fund invests in wind, solar, and energy storage projects and is registered as article 9, the most sustainable category under the EU's environmental, social, and governance investing regulation.

The only fund in the group with a 50% increase is Triodos. Furthermore, the fund outperformed its nearest Article 9 rival by almost 10% in 2022, according to Morningstar.

The Triodos portfolio accelerated in 2022 due to the geopolitical and energy challenges in Europe.

Triodos is one of the green investors who supports investing in alternative energy for huge and long-lasting returns as fossil fuel costs increase in Europe.

The fund, which is located in the Netherlands, has been pursuing private businesses and startups in developing technology.
