The government of St. Lucia launched St.Lucia citizenship by investment programme on 1st January 2016. A qualifying investment must satisfy the minimum investment level in either the Saint Lucia National Economic Fund or an approved real estate project or an investment in Government-approved business projects.

The citizenship by in investment in St. Lucia is one of the most affordable alternative citizenship and enjoys visa-free travel worldwide with access to 146 countries including EU & UK. St. Lucia has an attractive tax regime with no tax on income, wealth or inheritance. There are no physical residency requirements with an option to obtain a Saint Lucia passport remotely.

The current minimum investments for donation to the fund are set at $100,000 for a single applicant, $165,000 for a couple and $190,000 for a family of four. For real estate the minimum is set at $300,000 for the main applicant. Government, Professional and Due Diligence fees apply. For investment in Government-approved business projects there is a requirement of investment of at least $3,5 million.


This is a one time donation to the National Economic Fund (NEF) which is a governmental fund. For a single applicant the NEF contribution amounts to $100,000, $165,000 for a couple and $190,000 for a family of four plus processing and due dilligence fees. For each additional dependant there is an extra fee of $25,000


The applicant can make an investment in government approved real estate and the investor will need to own the property for at least five years. Irrespective of the number of the applicant’s dependants the investment amount is capped at $300,000 plus varying processing, due diligence and government administrative fees.


The applicant may make an investment in government approved business projects in the following categories: specialised restaurants, cruise ports and docks, pharmaceutics, bridges, roads, highways and research facilities. An applicant has to invest at least $3,5 million plus processing and due diligence fees and create at least 3 jobs. Co-operative investment of at least $6 million is possible, including at least 6 permanent job opportunities created respectively
